November, and we time our afternoon passeggiata for early
afternoon now that the sunset begins at 4.30 pm.
Nearly all the bars & restaurants are 'in Feria' -
taking a well earned break after the summer hiatus,
before the Christmas season & Notte Bianca is upon us.
It's like walking through a ghost town...
A stroll along a deserted Marina Piccola takes us to
Marina Piccola |
Lungomare Tommaso Perrotti, where we can see Capri, the Amalfi
coast & Punta Licosa
coast & Punta Licosa
Capri & the Sorrento Peninsular across the Gulf of Salerno |
Capri & the Amalfi coast |
View to Monte Licosa & Punta Licosa |
Only one boat in port this afternoon |
We then turn back & walk round to Porte delle Gatte, which reminds us that Santa Maria is still a fishing port
Leave your fishing nets |
Just hanging |
And walk towards Punta dell'Inferno to stand & watch the sea
awhile before heading back home
awhile before heading back home
November seas |
